FLAHBACK: Senator Whose Staffer Filmed Senate Sex Tape Said The Capitol Building Is ‘Sacred’
After a staffer of Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) was found to have filmed a gay sex tape in the chambers of the U.S. Senate, the senators remarks from the aftermath of the January 6 Capitol protests have resurfaced. The far-left senator compared the protests to the Pearl Harbor attacks and accused the protesters of desecrating the “sacred” chamber, emphasizing that the Capitol Building is “more than just a building.”
Aidan Maese-Czeropski has been identified as the staffer who filmed himself having sex with another man inside the Senate chambers of the Capitol Building. A caption on the graphic video noted that it was filmed where former FBI Director James Comey testified about the bogus “Russian collusion” scandal and where perspective federal and Supreme Court justices are questioned.
Maese-Czeropski has been fired over the video and has portrayed himself as a victim, alleging that he is only being attacked due to his sexuality in a LinkedIn post. The U.S. Capitol Police have also opened a probe into the incident.

In the days following the video’s leak to the public, Senator Cardin’s statements made in the aftermath of the January 6 Capitol protests have resurfaced.
“January the 6th, like December the 7th and September the 11th, is a date which will live in infamy,” Cardin said. “I refer to U.S. Capitol as sacred space because it’s so much more than a building where the Senate and the House of Representatives meet and conduct business. It is the embodiment of our ideals, our aspirations and hope, not just to Americans, but also to all of humanity.”
Cardin offered a brief statement in the aftermath of the video’s release, stating that Maese-Czeropski was no longer part of his staff. “We will have no further comment on this personnel matter,” the two-sentence statement concluded.
