During her speech at Turning Point USA’s 2023 AmericaFest, Trump attorney Alina Habba gave a stark warning to the various groups, factions, parties, politicians and activists: Trump’s retaliation will be “relentless.”

As reported by Mediaite, Habba restated Trump’s legal stance that under the Presidential Records Act, his handling of ANY documentation is fully protected, however, emphasizing that then-Vice President and earlier Senator Joe Biden’s blatant mishandling was not.

“Because he wasn’t president when he took his boxes in six different locations. In Chinatown. In his car next to his son, who’s doing God knows what with God knows who,” she said. But that is what they do. They hide what they’ve done by going after Trump. Look at the shiny ball, everybody. Don’t look at us.”

Habba continued,

“That’s what they do. They hide what they’ve done by going after Trump.

Well, they’ve got one year and then we’re going to be looking at them. Deep and hard.”

The attorney added to the raucous crowd, “I’ll tell you right now, if I’m in Washington, I’ll be relentless to0.”

Habba,39, Managing Partner of her law firm Habba, Madaio & Associates, has gained national prominence in her representation of Trump since 2021 when she argued on his behalf in Trump vs. Mary Trump, The New York Times Company, et al. after many from Trump’s former legal team chose to withdraw their services.

She seemed to court the notion that she could potentially see an appointment to the next Trump Administration according to the outlet.

As previously reported by Trending Politics, Trump’s pending case for election interference in Washington, D.C. is now on hold due to the Supreme Court considering three appeals from defendants Joseph Fischer, Edward Lang, and Garret Miller for “obstructing an official proceeding.”

Should the Justices rule in favor of the January 6th defendants, the charges against Trump would similarly evaporate, allowing Trump and Habba to focus their efforts on adjudicating the Mar-a-Lago documents case she alluded to.

In early November, U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon ordered  Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team and Trump’s attorneys to work out access to classified materials in discovery and pledged to revisit the trial’s scheduling.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said at the time, “We look forward to the conference set by Judge Cannon for next March, where future scheduling matters, including a potential trial date will be discussed.” He went on to harshly criticize the Biden administration prosecutor’s effort “to deny President Trump’s constitutional rights to prepare for trial.”

“It is clearly in the best interest of Justice for President Trump to have adequate time to prepare and file motions, as he works to defeat these hoaxes and marches back to the White House,” Cheung said according to Politico.
