Whoopi Goldberg SNAPS At Co-Host During Unhinged Meltdown

The latest episode of “The View” turned intensely heated on Wednesday as co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Alyssa Farah Griffin clashed over the topic of abortion rights.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that with medical advancements, the point of viability could shift, necessitating a reevaluation of legal and moral perspectives on abortion.

“I personally believe I come down about between 20 and 24 weeks. I do think as a country at some point we’re going to have to have a conversation, technology changes, medical technology changes, about when a child does have rights outside of the womb,” Griffin said.

Whoopi Goldberg, however, took a strong stance against Griffin’s viewpoint. “I actually don’t want to have those conversations with you. It’s not your business!”

“Listen, if I get pregnant and I can’t have the baby, I’m not talking to you, not you (pointing at Griffin), I’m not talking to the government about this,” Goldberg said.

“This is my body and nobody… you won’t let me make my decisions about my body? You are not the person to make that decision,” Goldberg said back in May of 2022. “The reason abortion came about — women in this country lived forever with it being illegal. Okay? Women, when they decide something is not right for them, they’re going to take it into their own hands.”

In December, co-host Sunny Hostin had openly revealed her pro-life stance, a position that diverged from the show’s predominantly left-wing narrative. Known for her liberal viewpoints, Hostin attributed her opposition to abortion to her Catholic faith. The disclosure led to a significant backlash, including receiving hate mail from fans of the show.

“The Republican Party in many respects is leaning on evangelicals for this argument. I myself am Catholic,” Hostin said last year. “I have mentioned many times I’m pro-life. I’ve received a lot of hate mail for it. That’s my personal position, but there has to be a separation between the government and religion.”

While Hostin said she personally opposed abortion, she also revealed her disagreement with actions such as repealing Roe v. Wade and imposing restrictions on abortion clinics.
