‘Caddyshack’ Actress Passes Away At The Age Of 69
Actress Cindy Morgan, perhaps best known for her role in the 1980 sports comedy film “Caddyshack,” has passed away at the age of 69.
The actress’s death was confirmed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, though details regarding a cause of death have not yet been disclosed.
Morgan starred alongside Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield and Chevy Chase in the 1980 classic. She played the role of Lacey Underall, the attractive niece of the country club owner who supplies an important role in the film.
The wildly successful film remains popular to this day and is considered one of the best comedy flicks of the 1980’s. Morgan cherished her association with the film and served as the director of a reunion-themed golf tournament in 2006.
In addition to her role in “Caddyshack,” Morgan played a dual role of the characters Lora and Yori in “Tron.” Other film credits include “Galaxis,” “Silent Fury” and “Up Yours.”
In addition to her work in Hollywood, Morgan was an ardent supporter of the United States military. She worked to ease the financial burden of troops returning home from overseas deployments from Iraq and Afghanistan, among other things. Morgan’s father also fought in World War II.
Proceeds from the reunion tournament were used to support service-members and their families in Illinois.
