WATCH: Fani Willis Lashes Out At MTG, Accuses Her Of Being ‘Filled With Hate’

Fulton County District Attorney lashed out at U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) while addressing churchgoers at Big Bethel AME on Sunday. The Georgia congressman recently took legal action against Willis and has called for a formal investigation over allegations that Willis had an affair with prosecutor Nathan Wade — who was appointed as a special prosecutor in Willis’ investigation into former President Donald Trump — while paying him more than $600,000 in taxpayer funds.

While commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Willis indirectly addressed the allegations in what became her first public remarks since news of the scandal broke. The Fulton County DA repeatedly portrayed both herself and Wade as victims of racial discrimination, at one point declaring “you can’t expect black women to be perfect.”

On the topic of Rep. Greene, Willis claimed that her spirit has become “filled with hate.”

“Dear God, I do not want to be like those that attacked me. I never want to be a Marjorie Taylor Greene who has never met me, but has allowed her spirit to be filled with hate,” she said. “How does this woman, who has the honor of being a leader in my state, how is it that she has not reached out to me?”

Elsewhere in the speech, Willis touched on a recent incident where she was “swatted,” meaning a fake 911 call was dialed to her home address that warrants an armed police response. Rep. Greene has been a target of swatting on numerous occasions.

“She can tell me, I don’t agree with anything you’re doing, but I do not agree with people threatening your life or the life of your family. That is conduct that is wrong and intolerable, and as a leader I shall not stand for it. How did such a woman come to think that it was normal and normalized that another woman was worthy of such cruelty?” Willis said of Greene.

Earlier this week, Greene filed a criminal complaint against Willis over the Wade scandal.

Greene has filed her complaint with Republican Governor Brian Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr, asking both to investigate whether the Democrat mixed politics with pleasure when she paid the special prosecutor approximately $700,000 to involve himself in her prosecution of former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants.

Elsewhere in her speech, Willis portrayed both herself and Wade as victims of racial discrimination.

“Lord, your flawed, hard-headed, and imperfect child, I’m a little confused. I appointed three special counselors. Is my right to do? Paid them all the same hourly rate? They only each had one,” she said. “I hired one white woman, a good personal friend and great lawyer. A superstar, I tell you. I hired one white man, brilliant, my friend, and a great lawyer. And I hired one black man, another superstar, a great friend, and a great lawyer.”

“Oh Lord, they’re going to be mad when I call them out on this nonsense. First thing they say, ‘Oh, she’s going to play the race card now.’ But no God, isn’t it them who’s playing the race card when they only question one?” Willis went on to say. “Isn’t it them playing the race card when they constantly think I need someone from some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I’ve been doing almost 30 years.”
