WATCH: Trump Speaks To Massive Overflow Crowd Outside Max Capacity South Carolina Rally
Former President Donald Trump’s rally in Conway, South Carolina was not only packed to capacity on Saturday, but also drew a massive overflow crowd that prompted the former president to remark that “there is more spirit now than there was in 2016 or 2020.”
Fresh off another victory in Nevada, Trump is in South Carolina for a number of planned rallies as he seeks to win the home state of his last remaining primary challenger in Nikki Haley.
Saturday’s rally appeared to draw particularly massive crowds, with conservative journalist Laura Loomer noting that supporters were lined up throughout the entire nine-mile distance between the venue and the Myrtle Beach Airport. “The distance between Myrtle Beach Airport and the venue of President Trump’s rally in Conway, South Carolina is about 9 miles. There are Trump supporters on every block on the side of the road for the full 9 mile journey with their flags and signs in support of President Trump,” Loomer reported.
“Never seen anything like this before.”
Outside the venue, Trump paused to stop to the massive overflow crowd that stretched as far as the eye can see.
“There is more spirit now than there was in 2016 or 2020. I just wanna thank everybody,” Trump told the crowd. “So, I’m going in to make a speech. You can watch it out here. But I’m coming back and I’m gonna make one where everyone can get in. We’ll get the biggest arena, or the biggest piece of land, or we’ll take over an airport or something. But we’ll get everybody here.”
Trump is the polling favorite in South Carolina’s February 24 Republican primary. According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump currently maintains a 30.7-point lead over former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
