WATCH: MTG Confronts Biden As He Enters Chamber: ‘SAY HER NAME’
U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) confronted President Biden ahead of what could be his final State of The Union address.
As President Biden was making his entrance, he came across U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who was seated next to the aisle while wearing a Make America Great Again hat and a shirt in honor of University of Georgia Student Laken Riley, who was killed by an illegal alien. As Rep. Greene exchanged words with the president, Biden became wide-eyed and opened his mouth in a surprised manner.
Democrats in the crowd then attempted to steer him away, with one elected Democrat saying “look over here, Mr. President.”
While it was unclear what was being said between the two on the official broadcast, MTG could be heard saying “her name is Laken Riley” as the president ignored her.
Riley was killed by a Venezuelan national who was released from Border Patrol custody after illegally entering the United Staes. From there he travelled to New York City with the help of an NGO, where he was arrested for assault and drunk driving. He was later arrested for shoplifting in Georgia, though neither crime resulted in deportation due to the “Sanctuary” status of both localities.
Greene later uploaded a video from her own point of view. The conservative congressman handed the president a pin honoring Laken Riley, which he took and said “I know how to say her name.”
“Laken Riley,” Greene replied. “Say her name Mr. President,” the congresswoman followed up, to which the president smirked before walking away.
