JUST IN: Journalist Uncovers ‘Diabolical’ Link Between Anti-Trump Judge And Letitia James

A conservative investigative journalist claims to have uncovered a link between the wife of the judge overseeing the New York criminal trial of former President Donald Trump and Letitia James, the state’s Democratic Attorney General prosecuting him for alleged business fraud.

Laura Loomer, writing on X, exposed her findings which she claims should create further concern about Judge Juan Merchan’s ability to conduct a fair trial. For more than a week, his daughter Loren Merchan — a Democrat political activist — has been under fire for making anti-Trump posts and profiting off her father’s case.

Now, Loomer writes, she has come across employment records for Merchan’s wife, Lara Merchan, who she said worked for the Attorney General’s Office between 2009 and 2022, putting her under the purview of James since 2019.

AG James first launched her investigation into the Trump real estate empire in 2019, with litigation going public as soon as August 2020 to support her subpoenas into the inquiry. Lara Merchan’s employment would have coincided with that time, and as a special assistant would almost certainly have handled information pertinent to the case.

In documents posted by Loomer examining Lara Merchan’s career and income, she appears to have made approximately $150,000 while working as a Special Assistant to the Attorney General during that period of time. Claiming Judge Merchan and Lara Merchan “are or were” married, Loomer introduced a mortgage document from Jacksonville, Florida showing the couple signing on together as the original mortgagers. The document further adds their primary residence is an unidentified county in the state of New York.

President Trump has previously insinuated that Loren Merchan, the judge’s daughter, has tainted the case through her work lobbying on behalf of Democratic clients like Congressman and Senate candidate Adam Schiff (D-CA), who obtained at least $93 million in donations from appeals about Trump’s various cases.

“So, let me get this straight,” Trump wrote on Truth Social according to Revolver, “The Judge’s daughter is allowed to post pictures of her ‘dream’ of putting me in jail … but I am not allowed to talk about the attacks against me, and the Lunatics trying to destroy my life and prevent me from winning the 2024 Presidential Election, which I am dominating?”

On Wednesday Judge Merchan rejected Trump’s request to delay his hush money trial while he seeks a ruling on presidential immunity from the U.S. Supreme Court.
