WATCH: Elon Musk Humiliates Fake News Reporter, Crowd Erupts In Cheers

Elon Musk brought down the house during a recent Q&A session by outright dismissing a question from a Business Insider reporter in a moment that quickly went viral.

The incident unfolded when Spriha Srivastava of Business Insider posed a question to Musk about Tesla’s recent challenges, including declining sales and stock market performance. Musk, without missing a beat, interrupted Srivastava, questioning the credibility of her publication. He swiftly moved on, asking for the next question, which only fueled the audience’s enthusiastic approval.

“We can stop the question right now because I don’t think Business Insider is a real publication,” Musk said. “So let’s move on to the next question.”

Musk’s blunt dismissal was seen by many as a bold stand against unfair and biased media coverage. His response resonated with those who are skeptical of mainstream media narratives, particularly regarding innovators and industry disruptors like himself.

Earlier in the week, Business Insider reported that Tesla employees are currently facing a stressful period as Musk continues with a series of job cuts that are expected to persist at least until June. According to a Bloomberg report, the ongoing uncertainty has left many workers feeling anxious, with some even comparing their workplace environment to the high-stakes, life-or-death scenarios depicted in the popular Netflix series “Squid Game.” The cuts are part of a broader strategy to reduce the company’s workforce in response to declining quarterly vehicle deliveries and overall sales performance, amidst growing competition, particularly from Chinese automakers.

However, Musk has appeared to reverse some of these decisions, reinstating some employees. Amidst the turbulent times, Tesla’s stock has seen a substantial decline, dropping about 30% since the beginning of the year, which reflects investor concerns over the company’s current strategy and market performance.

This is also not the first time Musk has gone against the grain on stage either. In a fiery tirade at the New York Times DealBook Summit in November of last year, the Tesla CEO unleashed on Disney and other advertisers who paused their campaigns on his social platform, X.

Musk, particularly targeting Disney CEO Bob Iger with a blunt, “go f*ck yourself” if they thought they could use their advertising dollars to blackmail him. The explosive declaration erupted amid a wider boycott by advertisers, spurred by Musk’s engagement with a post slammed as antisemitic, prompting giants like Disney to withdraw their ads in protest.

Bob Iger responded with a more measured tone, acknowledging Musk’s impressive achievements but explaining Disney’s retreat from X as a necessary move to distance themselves from Musk’s controversial public behavior. Musk later admitted his interaction with the contentious post was an error, conceding it had handed his detractors substantial leverage.

Still, Musk remains a formidable figure who knows how to command the stage, be it in a boardroom or in front of a microphone.
