InfoWars founder Alex Jones is alleging that federal agents are gearing up to raid his platform’s studios and seize his broadcasting assets.

In a video statement uploaded on Friday night, Jones explained that the looming seizure is related to the astronomical defamation fine imposed on him as a result of his claims about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. In 2022, was ordered to pay a $1.5 billion fine to Sandy Hook families after a years-long defamation suit stemming from Jones’ questioning of the official narrative.

So without getting into details which I’ll reveal very, very soon if I’m made to, I learned at 4 p.m. today, just a few hours ago, that InfoWars was going to be shut and closed tonight,” Jones said in a video statement Friday. “And we have hired security here that’s a private contractor. They were told, get ready to close the doors, change the locks, and InfoWars is going to be shut down. I learned about this and said, well, I’m going to go expose this. I’m going to talk about this.”

Jones went on to state that the alleged seizure is related to ongoing bankruptcy filings as a part of the crippling defamation suit. “This is all happening in bankruptcy. It’s not the court doing it. I’ll reveal who’s behind it soon,” he said.

The InfoWars founder further reported that he slept in his studio last night and is ready to call local law enforcement for assistance in the event of a federal raid. “So I was gonna sleep here tonight, so that they can’t, with the court, and the people that are assigned by the court not the court itself, shut this place down. But then I thought about it, and you know what? Let them put padlocks on the door let them go ahead and do that. We’ll come here we’ll show it we’ll put it on X and Alex Jones we’ll show the world what’s going on, but that’s where we are,” Jones said,

Jones founded InfoWars in 1999 and has operated the site ever since. News of its potential shutdown was met with outrage and support for Jones from free speech advocates and supporters.

“$1 billion – The fine Alex Jones had to pay for what he said about Sandy Hook,” said the owner of the wildly popular End Wokeness account on X. “$0.0 – The fine Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson had to pay for their lies about the COVID vax (100% safe & effective).”

“It will get worse,” added popular political commentator Tim Pool.

This is a developing story.
