President Joe Biden once again appeared disoriented while attempting to navigate his way off stage after a public speech on Monday. The moment, which lasted over 30 seconds, saw the President wandering seemingly aimlessly prompting more concerns about his cognitive well-being.

The President has consistently waved off suggestions from allies and adversaries alike to undergo a cognitive test, a call sure to be echoed by the public as more episodes occur. Reassurances from his campaign team have often labeled such concerns as overblown, however.

The Democratic National Committee has been ramping up its efforts, kicking off new initiatives focused on targeting potential vice presidential picks of former President Donald Trump. Some Democrats have viewed this as a way to soothe an increasingly anxious party.

Last Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal released a story suggesting that in private settings, Biden has displayed “signs of slipping.”

During a January meeting in the West Wing with congressional leaders to discuss Ukraine funding, Biden occasionally spoke so quietly that some attendees had difficulty hearing him, five sources familiar with the event told the WSJ. Biden relied on notes for straightforward points, took long pauses, and sometimes closed his eyes for extended periods, leading some to wonder if he was disengaged.

In a separate incident in February, during a private conversation in the Oval Office, Biden told House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) that a recent policy shift impacting major energy projects was merely a study. This was according to six individuals briefed on the conversation. Johnson expressed his concern that the president might not fully recall the details of his administration’s policy.
