WATCH: Hundreds Of Supporters Greet Trump At Atlanta Airport Ahead Of CNN Debate
Former President Trump was greeted by a massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters on Thursday when his plane touched down in Atlanta for the first of at least two presidential debates ahead of the November election.
The former president’s plane — which was decorated in campaign letters and featuring the “Trump” logo — touched down at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport roughly three hours ahead of Thursday’s 9 p.m. Eastern Time debate.
Upon landing, Trump was greeted by a massive crowd of supporters chanting “we love Trump” and “four more years,” among other things.

The enthusiasm did not die down as the former president’s motorcade travelled through downtown Atlanta, as elated groups of supporters lined overpasses and surrounding streets throughout the entire route. Supporters waved signs reading “Trump 2024” and “We Love Trump,” while scores of rush hour motorists honked their horns in support.
Thursday’s debate — which will be hosted by CNN and include a number of rules that were insisted upon by the Biden Campaign — is the first of at least two debates ahead of the November election. ABC News will be hosting a second debate in September, while former President Trump has accepted an invitation to at least two more. President Biden’s campaign has refused to agree to an additional debate as of this report, however.
As part of the rules demanded by Biden’s campaign, the network will reserve the right to mute either candidate’s microphone if they speak outside their allotted time. A studio audience was also not allowed for the debate, which is set to begin at 9 p.m. eastern time.
