Joy Behar Embarrasses Herself On Live TV With Clueless Comments About Guns

Joy Behar of “The View” managed to further embarrass herself and the show with her ill-informed comments about the recent tragic shooting at a campaign rally for former President Donald Trump. On Saturday during a speech in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was shot and wounded, with a tragic loss of life and several injuries among the crowd.

Behar’s remarks came on Monday’s show when she attempted to address the issue of gun violence linked to the incident. Her commentary quickly spiraled into controversy.

“The shooter, yes, it was a 20-year-old kitchen worker from nearby Bethel Park in Pennsylvania,” Behar started “According to a CNN reporter, senior law enforcement officials said that he bought 50 rounds of ammunition from a local gun store hours before the rally. Shouldn’t that have been reported?

“Somebody buys 20-year-old white guy? I mean we’ve seen that many times now, young white men with guns and nobody reported that he bought 15 rounds of ammunition?” Behar claimed.

This isn’t the first time Behar, or her co-hosts, have made controversial jabs aimed at others. The liberal leaning show has long supplied outlandish, foolish takes.

Saturday’s shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, left virtually no trace of his motives before he shockingly attempted to assassinate Trump at the rally. Details surrounding Crooks’s life and intentions still remain largely unknown. According to federal authorities, Crooks had no documented mental health problems, had never made any prior threats, and was not previously on the radar of any federal law enforcement agencies.
