Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) confronted a reporter from The Times of London at the Republican National Convention (RNC), delivering a blistering critique of the media’s role in dividing America. The confrontation came as the RNC is poised to hear from JD Vance (R-OH), Trump’s vice presidential pick, who is set to share his compelling life story and affirm the GOP’s connection with everyday Americans.

Jo Crawford of The Times of London questioned the Republican representative from Georgia regarding J.D. Vance’s recent remarks, in which he speculated that the United Kingdom could become the first “Islamist country” under the newly elected Labour government.

“Well, let’s talk about the words of the Democrats and Joe Biden that have also labeled President Trump as a fascist, labeled all of us as not Lee’s and Hitler, completely lied, demonizing him so much so that a young man, a 20 year old, which is hard to imagine, actually climbed onto a roof and tried to murder President Trump.”

“This is the first time you’ve ever talked to me,” Greene said. “I want you to know I’m a regular person like you. I’m also a mom. I have three kids. We have to put up with the most unreal amount of bullsh*t because of little liars like you that take your job and turn it into political activism.”

“You’re the cause of our country being divided,” Greene chirped, pointing her finger at the reporter. “You’re the cause of President Trump almost being assassinated. You’re done. Yeah, go back,” she yelled, signaling the end of the interview.

Trump revealed his selection of Vance as his vice presidential candidate in a Truth Social post on Monday. He described Vance as “best suited to assume the position of Vice President.”

During Trump’s initial presidential campaign, Vance voted for independent candidate Evan McMullin. He openly declared himself a “never Trump guy.” However, Vance’s perspective shifted when he began his own Senate campaign and sought Trump’s endorsement. In 2021, Vance expressed remorse over his previous views, stating, “I regret ‘being wrong about’ Trump and ask people not to judge.
