‘I’M REALLY SAD’: ‘Morning Joe’ Hosts Mourn The Biden Presidency With Hilarious Eulogy

Supporters of President Joe Biden were mourning his exit from the race on Monday morning, especially “Morning Joe” host Mike Brzezinski, after she defended Biden’s competency and position in the polls long after his liberal peers had jumped ship.

Speaking alongside her co-host and husband Joe Scarborough, the MSNBC anchor spokes about the end of the Biden campaign in terms more befitting of a eulogy.

“I’m really sad. Joe Biden is a patriot. I love him, I love his family and I love what he’s done for the country,” Brzezinski said. “He had authenticity and touch. Whether you, you know, saw it or not, everything about him, even sometimes the stutter and the bumbling, was a part of the touch, part of the empathic, very loving, very clear, clear-eyed touch that he had, that allowed him and enabled him to be an effective president, but all that turned against him after the debate for all the reasons we discussed.”

A rash of liberal commentators in mainstream media outlets joined Brzezinski in congratulating the 81-year-old president for having the courage to step aside, papering over the strong-armed pressure campaign that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised to kick into overdrive this week if Biden didn’t drop out. She added that Democrats should “get behind the democracy ticket” and coronate Harris at the party’s convention in Chicago next month.

“It’s go time and Democrats really have a moment of momentum here, and my hope is that they grab it and run with it, get unified, get organized, get coordinated, no more infighting. Donald Trump is not easy to beat. He is not easy to beat, and anyone who thinks he is, is back in 2016, when they’re laughing at the concept,” Brzezinski said.

Both “Morning Joe” hosts went to exceptional lengths in letting President Biden defend his campaign in the weeks leading up to its sudden end. Following a disastrous debate performance on June 27th, Biden sat for an exclusive interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos which did little to assuage Democrats’ concerns about his mental acuity. Appearing on “Morning Joe” shortly after, an audibly agitated Biden became further ruffled after Brzezinski referred to him as the “presumptive nominee” for the Democrats. The show went to such lengths to defend Biden that MSNBC executives pulled it from the air out of fear of what Brzezinski or Scarborough might say two days after former President Donald Trump was nearly shot and killed.

Brzezinski added in her remarks that Republicans have already launched a “hate campaign” against the vice president, citing her sources “within Republican circles” and “right-wing media.”

“The hate campaign against Kamala Harris has begun. You’ll notice they purposefully pronounce her name wrong… they do it all the time, they do it on purpose. The talk is to start that hate campaign and get it going and get it churning. My hope is that major Democrats and major Republicans from the Obamas to the Bush family to military leaders, get behind the democracy ticket and move on.”
