Megyn Kelly Obliterates Liberal Panelist On Trump Cases, Schools Him On Basic Legalese
Megyn Kelly smothered the life out of the “All-In” podcast’s Jason Calacanis’ false claims that former President Donald Trump has been “convicted” five times.
The back-and-forth came during a recent panel on the November elections where polls show a tight race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Much ink has been spilled in prognosticating over whether or not Trump’s various civil and criminal cases would hurt his chances among swing voters, an argument that Calacanis attempted to extend a little too far before Kelly called him out. A three-minute clip of the panel begins with him arguing that President Trump is carrying baggage from five convictions.

“Let’s assume all five” cases against Trump go to trial and that “he’s guilty of three” the investor-turned-political podcaster started before Kelly cut in and forced him to amend his assertion. “He’s been convicted of three sorry.” “What do you mean? No, he hasn’t,” she shot back, forcing him to tick off the cases he was referencing.
“E. Jean Carroll,” he stammered about President Trump’s civil rape case judgment. “That was not a conviction, that was a civil case,” Kelly smiled knowingly. “There’s a big difference.” A receptive audience laughed and applauded Kelly’s clapback while the journalist fought to make up lost ground. “He was convicted, there was that. In the Trump Organization, again he was guilty there.” That was another civil trial, Kelly corrected him.
“Yes of course, but these are the cases we’re talking about,” he replied. A quiet host, obviously enjoying the uncomfortable nature of the conversation, jumped in. “You said three convictions, now you’re walking it back,” prompting the liberal journalist to deny it. “I’m not walking it back!” he declared. “You should walk it back,” Kelly joked. “He got a bad result.”
Asked if she would “chalk up” five “bad results” as the product of bad juries and bad judges,” Kelly was unequivocal. “One hundred percent,” she said. “E. Jean Carroll – they changed the law so she could bring a civil lawsuit against him, and she did. New York went 87 percent for Joe Biden, that fix was in from the state. The fraud trial that [New York Attorney General] Letitia James brought against him has never been brought, there were no victims. The banks said we didn’t lose a penny, what are we doing here? Nobody was complaining except Tish James who ran for office saying ‘I will get him.'” Kelly went on to accuse Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a “George Soros-funded prosecutor,” of resurrecting expired charges against Trump.
“It’s a repeat of what was happening on January 6th, with Judge Chutkan who has sentenced almost every J6 defendant to way more jail time than their counterparts would get. Those are falling apart because of presidential immunity handed down by the Supreme Court,” she continued. The clip ends with Kelly’s co-panelists applauding her education of her counterpart and an audibly enthusiastic audience appreciating her lesson on lawfare.
