WATCH: CNN’s Scott Jennings Laughs Off Kamala’s Attacks On Trump’s Mental Fitness

CNN contributor Scott Jennings is not impressed with Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent attacks on former President Donald Trump’s mental fitness, especially considering her role in covering up President Biden’s well-documented decline that ultimately sunk his candidacy over the summer.

In recent days, the Harris-Walz Campaign has been claiming that former President Trump, 78, is showing signs of cognitive decline. Despite the fact that the former president has been holding multiple rallies a day, the Harris-Walz Campaign has zeroed in on short, out of context clips, including one in which the Republican nominee played a number of songs at the conclusion of a Pennsylvania town hall event.

On Monday, Jennings thoroughly rejected the Harris-Walz Campaign’s latest line of attack in an appearance on CNN’s “News Night.”

“If I were Harris, I wouldn’t be leaning too heavily into who’s hiding what kind of medical conditions of people who are want to be the president, given her role in lying about the condition of Joe Biden for the last four years. That’s number one,” he said.

“Number two, I don’t think this works for her. I think I’m back in the same bucket I was earlier. You’re not selling your own candidacy. You’re punching Donald Trump in the same way every other Democrat we’ve ever heard from for the last eight, nine years has punched this guy, that’s not the problem with your campaign. We’ve heard all the attacks on Trump. If she cannot sell her own candidacy any better than just punching on him, I’m, for her, if I were in her camp, I just don’t know what’s gonna be enough. That’s my view.”

After pushback from fellow panelists, Jennings pointed to months of assurances from Democratic Party leaders and left-wing pundits, including Vice President Harris, on President Biden’s mental fitness. Harris is still vouching for President Biden’s mental fitness less than a month before the election. When asked by Axios whether Harris can “fully assure” that President Biden is capable of doing his job, a campaign aide immediately replied with, “of course.”

“Don’t lecture me about mental acuity. But when Democrats are who all, you included, who all assured us that Joe Biden was riding unicycles and juggling knives in the Oval Office. When we know that wasn’t true and Harris was the chief cheerleader for that whole thing, don’t give me lectures about mental acuity. Come on,” Jennings said.
