WATCH: Trump And Joe Rogan Skewer ABC News Over Incorrect ‘Fact Checks’

Published

Former President Donald Trump and top-rated podcaster Joe Rogan discussed the mask-off bias displayed by ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis in the lone presidential debate between Trump and Vice President Harris back in September.

Muir and Davis jumped in with incorrect “fact checks” on the former president on multiple occasions throughout the night. Incorrect fact checks included a claim that full-term abortion is not permitted in any state, ignoring an explicit endorsement of the practice from former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, and a claim that there is “no evidence” of pets and local wildlife being killed by illegal aliens in a small Ohio town, which ignored police reports and citizen testimony.

Harris, on the other hand, was allowed to get away with several lies, including the false claim that police officers were killed on January 6, the thoroughly debunked “very fine people” hoax, and several false statements about her past positions.

“They fact-checked you and they didn’t fact-check her,” Rogan said in his long anticipated sit-down with the former president. “And one of the most egregious examples of that was when she said that there is there are no troops right now deployed in war zones. There’s a very famous viral video that went online of troops in a war zone saying, ‘well what the f**k are we doing then,’ because there’s thousands of them.”

Rogan continued, “But the point is, if this is going to be an actual real debate and not a propaganda exercise, it was going to be a real debate, you have to fact-check everybody.”

“So it’s one of two things it’s either it was not true and was a lie on purpose, which is terrible, or it was the opposite, it was ignorance, which is also terrible.”

Elsewhere in the three-hour discussion — which has already surpassed 11 million views on YouTube in under 12 hours — Rogan stated that conservatism has now solidified itself as the counter culture. Rogan has long described himself as a liberal, though he has been a vocal critic of numerous left-wing policy positions in recent years.

“The rebels are Republicans now. They’re like, you want to be a rebel? You want to be punk rock? You want to buck the system? You’re a conservative now,” the UFC commentator told Trump. “That’s how crazy, and then the liberals are now pro-silencing criticism. They’re pro-censorship online. They’re talking about regulating free speech and regulating the First Amendment. It’s bananas to watch.”

The former president added to Rogan’s thought by pointing to the relentless, politically motivated lawfare directed at himself and his campaign. “Sure, they come after their political opponent. I’ve got more guys. I always say, you know, I kid, but I’m not kidding. I’ve been investigated more than Alphonse Capone. He was the meanest of them all. He’d kill you in two seconds if he didn’t like you, right?” Trump said.

“But you know what they did? They did something that’s only done in third world countries. They came after their political opponent. I could have put Crooked Hillary in jail,” he added, to which Rogan replied, “Well, not only that, but they’re now weaponizing it by saying that that’s what you’re going to do once you get in office.”

The two later had a hilarious back-and-forth when Trump pondered why he has become such a massive target for the mainstream media. “Oh, I can definitely tell you. You’ve said a-lot of wild s**t,” Rogan quipped, drawing a laugh and a “maybe” from the Republican nominee.

“Wild s**t and then CNN, in all their brilliance, by highlighting your wild s**t made you much more popular. And they boost you in the polls because people were tired of someone talking in this bulls**t, pre-prepared politician lingo,” he continued.

“And even if they didn’t agree with you, they at least knew whoever that guy is, that’s him. That’s really him. When you see certain people talk, certain people in the public eye, you don’t know who they are. You have no idea who they are. It’s very difficult to know. You see them in conversations. They have these pre-planned answers, they say everything, it’s very rehearsed, you never get to the meat of it. One of the beautiful things about you is that you free-ball. Like you get out and you do these huge events and you’re just talking. We’ve highlighted you on the show many times where you did this Biden impression where he’s walking around and he doesn’t know what he’s doing. It’s fun.”
