The couple, who had been married for 28 years, were pillars of strength and love in their family. Wilson shared his heartbreak with fans and followers, expressing his profound loss. “My heart is broken. Melinda, my beloved wife of 28 years, passed away this morning. Our five children and I are just in tears,” he wrote.

He credited her for encouraging him to create music that resonated deeply with him and referred to her as his anchor and everything for their family.
