Beloved Fox News Host Gives Fans A Major Health Update: ‘More Surgeries To Go’
Kat Timpf isn’t done fighting just yet—but she’s doing it with grit, grace, and her trademark humor.
The popular Fox News personality and Gutfeld! regular revealed she’ll be stepping away from the camera once more to undergo the next phase of her breast cancer treatment. In a heartfelt update shared with fans, Timpf announced that additional surgeries are scheduled, and she’ll be off the air for a few weeks as she continues her recovery journey.
“When I came back, I said that I still had some more surgeries to go and my first one’s next week,” she said in a recent video. “So I’m gonna be out for a couple weeks. Even, you know, like the best-case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again. So this is the first step in that.”
Timpf added that she wanted to be transparent with fans to avoid “internet theories” about her absence.
“Just so the internet can’t come up with theories about where I am—that’s where I am,” she said. “And just thank you everyone for all your support and vibes and prayers or however you show that.”

In a recent post to X, she shared, “I’ll be back on @Gutfeldfox in a few weeks! Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love u all so much ❤️🍈😎”
The update comes months after Timpf made headlines for revealing that she was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer just 15 hours before giving birth to her first child on February 25 of this year. The early-stage detection meant the cancer was “highly treatable” and “almost certainly hasn’t spread.”
Doctors recommended a double mastectomy, which Timpf underwent in March at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Known for blending raw honesty with sharp wit, Timpf posted a post-op photo from the hospital and joked, “They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant.”
In June, she returned to Gutfeld! and other Fox News programs, announcing she was officially “cancer-free.” But the road to recovery continues, as reconstructive procedures and healing remain ahead.
Timpf has been open with fans about the ups and downs of balancing motherhood, recovery, and public life. Her candid updates have struck a chord with many, especially those navigating their own health battles.
