The Joe Biden re-election campaign compared former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler in a graphic posted to X on Wednesday.
The graphic, titles “TRUMP PARROTS HITLER” splices up a number of quotes from the former president with words added in to compare his rhetoric to that of Adolf Hitler. The top quote reads “we will root them out” before adding in the words “my political opponents that” before again mixing in an actual Trump quote, referencing a recent campaign rally where the former president said Democrats ” live like vermin.”
The “quote” ends by adding in additional words that Trump did not say, mixing truth with fiction.
Another “quote” zeroes in on the word “vermin” to claim that it is comparable to Hitler saying that Jews need to be exterminated.

As Trump continues to rise in the polls, a number of elected Democrats and partisan media outlets have focused on the word “vermin” to claim that Trump will become a “dictator” if he is able to win re-election in 2024. This exact phrasing has been parroted in pieces from the Atlantic, the New York Times, the Washington Post and several others, all of which were released within the same week.
The “dictator” talking point has also been re-hashed dozens of times on both mainstream and cable news outlets in recent weeks.
