The President of the United States, who is expected to be a model citizen and lead Americans by example, admitted to committing illegal actions on live television. The President acknowledged this during an interview with CBS News’s “60 minutes” with Scott Pelley, which was aired on Sunday night.
He admitted that his administration had imposed mandates and vaccines on Americans for a pandemic that was already over. In this interview, Biden also admitted that his student loan handout is against the federal laws of the United States of America.
The Detroit Auto Show was finally held again this year after being discontinued for the past three years. This led the news host to ask the President if Americans could take it as a sign that the pandemic was truly over.
The President confirmed that the pandemic was over. He added that a lot of work still needs to be done regarding covid as there were still some lingering problems. However, Biden assured Americans that the pandemic was over.

The President’s response to Pelley’s questions garnered a lot of backlash and condemnation from Americans, both democrats and conservatives. Both parties had different opinions and a lot to say, which immediately made the President’s comments trend on social media platforms.
Charles C.W. Cooke, a National Review writer, was one of the people who had something to say about the President’s remarks. He tweeted, “President Biden’s declaration on 60 Minutes that the pandemic is over—which his administration also argued when ending Title 42 back in May—confirms the illegality of his attempt to transfer hundreds of billions of dollars of student debt to the taxpayer,”
Cooke added, “Textually, the OLC’s interpretation of the 2003 HEROES Act was preposterous from top to bottom But even if one were to cynically ignore all that, the lack of an emergency would render the whole thing moot Biden just admitted on TV he’s breaking the law.”
Biden on 60 minutes said the “pandemic is over” …if thats true, then why are there still emergency declarations in place everywhere?

Republican Representative Thomas Massie also took to his Twitter to make demands following the President’s statement. Massie demanded that all emergency powers bestowed on the President and governors around the country due to the pandemic should be void the next day as the pandemic was over. He further demanded that all covid vaccine mandates and the PREP act should also be eliminated since they are no longer needed.
Megyn Kelly, a journalist, also tweeted demanding that Biden ends all covid mandates immediately except if the White House wants citizens to file new legal challenges against the government for imposing unnecessary mandates.
Furthermore, Dr Nicole Saphier supported Kelly’s demand as she tweeted that any mandates left should be immediately declared null and void. She added, “Future vaccines, treatments, tests should undergo complete FDA review and not expedited under EUA.”
Chris Stigall, a radio host advised Americans to quote the President if they get harassed about any pandemic mandates moving forward. He tweeted, “Just so everyone knows – Joe Biden said the pandemic is over last night on 60 Minutes, So you can play that clip for anyone in any government, school district, or work place enforcing shot or mask mandates going forward.”
