Biden Mocks Thomas Jefferson and Patriots Who Died for our Freedoms During MLK Speech

On Monday during a Martin Luther King Jr speech, President Joe Biden for whatever reason decided to use the speech as an opportunity to make far-left political statements.

At one point during the speech, Biden mocked Founding Father Thomas Jefferson and patriots who died for America’s freedoms.

“There’s no need for any of that,” Biden said. “I love my right-wing friends who talk about the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots. Give me uh… If you need to work about taking on the Federal government you need some F-15s. You don’t need an AR-15. I’m serious, think about it!”

Biden’s comment relating to “the tree of liberty” refers to a phrase used by Thomas Jefferson in a 1787 letter to John Adams’ son-in-law William Stephens Smith.

“What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion?” Jefferson wrote to Smith regarding Shay’s Rebellion in Massachusetts. “And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.”

Jefferson is explaining that patriots will die at times for liberty to persist.

Biden however, being the tyrant that he is, decided to mock Jefferson because American patriots don’t have fighter jets like the federal government does.

The president’s speech on Monday was a complete disaster.

At a different point during the speech, Biden mentioned that it was Arndrea Waters King’s birthday so he had to sing happy birthday to her. Arndrea Waters King is Martin Luther King III’s wife.

“Well, look, my wife has a rule in our family, when it’s somebody’s birthday, we sing happy birthday,” Biden said during the speech.

He then began singing the Happy Birthday song but forgot her name mid sentence.

“Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear… Vallvinnn… Happy Birthday to you,” Biden sang.

Her name is Arndrea.
