BREAKING: CNN Told Staff To Avoid “Lab Leak” Theory Due To It Being A “Trump Talking Point”
As the origin of COVID-19 continues to be investigated, recent developments have shed new light on the theory that the virus may have originated from a lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Notably, FBI Director Christopher Wray has embraced this theory, and a report from the U.S. Energy Department suggests that the virus likely started in the lab.
However, a CNN insider has revealed that during the early months of the pandemic, the network’s president, Jeff Zucker, prevented his team from investigating the lab-leak story, as he perceived it to be a “Trump talking point.”
Under the leadership of Jeff Zucker, CNN transformed from a news organization into an anti-Trump operation. Throughout Zucker’s tenure, the network appeared to actively discredit statements made by President Trump and his administration regarding the lab-leak theory, due to the White House’s adversarial relationship with the network.
“People are slowly waking up from the fog. It is kind of crazy that we didn’t chase it harder,” the insider told Fox News Digital.

Zucker dismissed the lab-leak theory as nothing more than a “Trump talking point” and refused to take it seriously. CNN journalists and producers opted to invite Democratic guests to discuss the pandemic. Many remember the lies spread on CNN during the Spring of 2020 with former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo who frequently appeared on his brother’s primetime show.
Zucker initially announced on February 2, 2021, that he would step down as CNN’s chief at the end of the year. However, reports in August 2021 indicated that he intended to remain until the completion of the WarnerMedia and Discovery, Inc. merger. On February 2, 2022, Zucker ultimately resigned from CNN, and in his resignation letter, he admitted to not disclosing a consensual relationship with CNN’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Allison Gollust, at its outset.
This relationship was made public during the network’s investigation into Chris Cuomo in early January 2022. Following his departure from CNN, Zucker also resigned from his role as chief of WarnerMedia News & Sports.
But wait, there's more…

Despite the recent report suggesting that COVID-19 originated from a lab leak, CNN, now led by Chris Licht, has yet to respond. The network still appears to be skeptical of the theory, while both the FBI Director Christopher Wray and the Department of Energy accept it as backed by evidence.
This stance by CNN and other left-leaning media outlets contrasted with Republicans, including former President Trump, who pushed for an investigation into the possibility of a lab leak in the early stages of the pandemic. Trump is currently seeking trillions of dollars in reparations from China for the economic damage caused by the pandemic.
On Saturday, Donald Trump promised to hold China accountable for the creation of the coronavirus. During the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), he mentioned how was right about the virus’s origins from the start, and how thinks China should have to pay.
Trump said, “I said very early on, this is Wuhan lab. That’s where it came from and I was criticized for saying it.”
“It is Wuhan lab, I don’t care what they say,” he continued. “It was a terrible mistake..the world lost $50 trillion…Something should be done for the world by China, because what they put the world through is a terrible terrible thing.”
