“Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation just announced they are investigating the “Drag Queen Christmas” all-ages drag show which took place yesterday,” the Libs of TikTok tweeted.

Check out what the Floridian reported:

Through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is formally investigating the “A Drag Queen Christmas” event that took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Monday, December, 26th.

The Floridian first reported that the traveling drag queen show that took place at the Broward Center for Performing Arts Center appears to have exposed minor children to simulated sexual acts.

In response to the event, The Floridian has obtained Gov. DeSantis’s official Executive address on the issue, where the Governor’s office state’s that the DPBR is looking at all “video footage and photographs from the event,” and will take action and share any and all evidence with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

Governor Ron DeSantis’ press secretary Bryan Griffin said: “The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is aware of multiple complaints about a sexually explicit performance marketed to children held in Fort Lauderdale on December 26th. The Department is actively investigating this matter, including video footage and photographs from the event. DPBR will, like in other cases, take action.”

“Exposing children to sexually explicit activity is a crime in Florida, and such action violates the Department’s licensing standards for operating a business and holding a liquor license,” he continued.

“The Department will share any collected evidence with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for potential criminal liability,” Griffin said.
