BREAKING: Fliers Linked To Anti-Trump Protests Found In Minnesota Assassin’s Car

The suspect in Saturday’s targeted attack that killed one Minnesota lawmaker, her spouse and wounded one other lawmaker and his wife, had fliers in his vehicle linked to Saturday’s nationwide anti-Trump protests.

“Given the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight, we are asking the public to not attend today’s planned demonstrations across Minnesota out of an abundance of caution,” the Minnesota State Patrol announced in an X post.

The post was accompanied by a stack of white fliers with the words “No Kings” written in black text, which were found in the suspect’s vehicle. “The photo is of flyers inside the vehicle of the suspect in today’s shootings,” the state police added.

The fliers appear to be linked to Saturday’s nationwide “No Kings” demonstration, a nationwide anti-Trump protest movement funded by far-left organizations like Indivisible, and wealthy Democratic Party financiers like Walmart heiress Christy Walton.

Police also recovered a manifesto outlining threats against additional Minnesota politicians. All other Minnesota state lawmakers are under protective custody in coordination with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement jurisdictions as the manhunt unfolds.

Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were shot and killed early Saturday morning by a suspect who is believed to have been impersonating a law enforcement officer.

State Senator John Hoffman, another Democrat, and his wife were shot at their Champlin residence located roughly eight miles away.

The attack at Hoffman’s home occurred just after 2 a.m. local time, according to a report from KSTP-TV. He and his spouse suffered multiple gunshot wounds and underwent surgery at a local hospital.

“The Hoffmans are out of surgery at this time and receiving care, and we are cautiously optimally optimistic, they will survive this assassination attempt,” Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced.

Officers then conducted a welfare check at Speaker Hortman’s residence in Brooklyn Park at around 3:35 a.m. and saw what appeared to be a police officer and a squad car outside, officials said. When officers approached the vehicle, the suspect opened fire on them and fled the scene.

Officers returned fire, but the suspect managed to get away and is currently on the loose. Police described the suspect as a white male with brown hair, who was dressed in a blue shirt and blue pants with black body armor.

A massive manhunt is underway, involving the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), State Patrol and local departments.

“Local law enforcement in Champlin and Brooklyn Park have the full resources of the State of Minnesota behind them,” the governor said. “We are monitoring the situation closely and will share more information soon.”

“I have been briefed on the terrible shooting that took place in Minnesota, which appears to be a targeted attack against State Lawmakers. Our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and the FBI, are investigating the situation, and they will be prosecuting anyone involved to the fullest extent of the law,” President Trump announced in a statement.

“Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!”

Governor Walz was set to speak at a “No Kings” rally in downtown Minneapolis, though he has since cancelled. Officials are urging the public to avoid the demonstrations while the manhunt is underway.
