BREAKING: Hillary Clinton Deposition Paused After Photo Leak Mid-Testimony

A closed-door congressional deposition of Hillary Clinton was abruptly paused Thursday after a photograph of her mid-testimony began circulating online, triggering a dispute over House rules and media leaks.

Clinton had agreed to appear before the House Oversight Committee alongside former President Bill Clinton after Chairman James Comer (R-KY) moved to pursue criminal contempt proceedings. The deposition, focused on questions surrounding the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, was being conducted at a performing arts center near the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York.

The proceedings were briefly derailed when a photograph taken during the private session surfaced on social media. The image was first posted by conservative commentator Benny Johnson.

According to multiple accounts, the photo was provided by Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who was present inside the room. Clinton’s legal team objected immediately, arguing that House rules prohibit members and witnesses from taking or distributing photographs during closed-door testimony. The deposition resumed less than an hour later.

According to a source familiar with the room who spoke with MSNOW, when Clinton returned, she reportedly engaged in a tense exchange with Chairman James Comer. At one point after returning to the room, Clinton reportedly asked whether members of the press could be allowed inside following the leak. Comer declined.

The session itself was being recorded, though any official footage is expected to undergo review before release.

A Clinton aide said to the Daily Mail, “It’s against chamber rules that were read at the top of the meeting. So the hearing has been paused briefly while they figure out where the photo came from and why, possibly members of Congress are violating House rules.”

In her opening statement, Clinton sharply criticized Republicans for compelling her testimony. “You have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation, in order to distract attention from President Trump’s actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers,” she said according to the Daily Mail.

She added, “If this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein’s trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement; it would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he shows up in the Epstein files.”

Clinton also said she has “no information on Epstein’s criminal activities and never recalls meetings,” while questioning the committee’s priorities. “If the majority were serious, it would not waste time on fishing expeditions. There is too much that needs to be done. What is being held back? Who is being protected? And why the cover-up?”

Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking. Bill Clinton is expected to testify Friday as the committee continues its inquiry.
