BREAKING: Kash Patel May QUIT Over Epstein Cover-Up
The political firestorm over the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case has intensified, and now it’s not just Dan Bongino threatening to walk. FBI Director Kash Patel is reportedly weighing his own resignation, should Attorney General Pam Bondi remain in her position.
The memo, signed by Bondi, Bongino, and Patel, claimed there was no evidence of foul play in Epstein’s 2019 death and no credible client list worth pursuing. But the backlash was immediate and intense.
Bondi’s prior public assurances that new documents were coming—and that the Epstein files were far from over—left the MAGA base stunned when the investigation was quietly declared finished. For Bongino, that contradiction reportedly sparked a heated confrontation during a private White House meeting earlier this week.
Sources say the meeting, which included both Patel and Bondi, turned tense when Bongino accused the Attorney General of betraying public trust and withholding material evidence. Patel, who had been relatively quiet in public, is now said to be fully aligned with Bongino’s stance.
Olohan confirmed Patel’s frustrations Friday, writing, “Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves. Also that there are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn’t released.”

Those withheld documents are a key point of contention. Bondi had alluded to a “truckload” of unsealed material as recently as May, suggesting it would tie powerful individuals to Epstein’s criminal network.
Yet little of that has surfaced. The July memo included no such revelations, and the now-infamous surveillance footage from Epstein’s cell—cited as proof there was no foul play—contains a one-minute gap, which DOJ officials labeled a “routine nightly reset.”
Critics aren’t buying it. Bondi’s messaging has come under sharp attack from MAGA-aligned influencers like Laura Loomer and Megyn Kelly, who say the public was misled and the Justice Department’s credibility undermined.
Can confirm it’s Bongino or Bondi – and the pick is obvious.

The potential loss of both Bongino and Patel would be a serious blow to President Trump’s law enforcement agenda. Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and conservative firebrand, and Patel, a longtime Trump ally with deep national security experience, were brought into FBI leadership to help rebuild public trust in the federal system. Their possible departures signal a deep fracture within the administration’s inner circle.
Bondi, meanwhile, continues to defend the DOJ’s findings and the July memo. She has insisted that the investigation’s conclusions are based on verified evidence and that no effort was made to suppress or conceal relevant information.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche also claimed this week that there is “no rift” between the DOJ and FBI leadership—a claim increasingly at odds with behind-the-scenes reports.
Now, with the files closed and no dramatic disclosures in sight, many believe the DOJ has lost credibility with its base—and internal morale is plummeting. If Patel were to follow Bongino out the door, it would send a clear signal that top-tier Trump appointees no longer trust the direction the Justice Department is heading under Bondi’s leadership.
The Epstein controversy, long a source of conspiracy and speculation, has now become a litmus test inside the administration. Whether Trump steps in to remove Bondi or allows her to remain amid growing backlash could determine whether Patel and Bongino stay or go.
