BREAKING: Kirk Cameron Announces Groundbreaking Anti-Woke Kids TV Show
Veteran actor Kirk Cameron recently announced plans for a new project that seeks to provide wholesome and quality content for children in an effort to counter woke messaging in children’s programming.
“Parents and grandparents are sickened and tired of their children being attacked by the woke wolves of Hollywood,” Cameron told Fox News in a statement. “That’s why I’m continuing to work with Brave Books to dive further into the world of children’s entertainment.”
Cameron has dedicated significant focus to the issue in the past. In order to counter “drag queen story time” and the rise of pornographic books such as “Genderqueer” being marketed to children in schools, the actor launched a series of book readings where children can hear faith-based stories instead.
At one event in Indianapolis, Cameron drew more than 2,500 attendees.
Earlier this year, Cameron revealed that he will once again be partnering with Brave Books for an “innovative live-action children’s TV show” called “Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk.”
“It’s not just time to take back our libraries and literature. It’s time to take back every area of culture that these animals have devoured,” the actor told Fox News. “Good families are looking for entertainment they can trust – stories that teach children biblically based moral values.”
“So supporting ‘Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ is another step forward in creating the culture we want for our future generations,” he added.
The new series is expected to launch in August 2024.
“As parents, we have been forced to settle for mindless entertainment or just downright harmful content. It’s time we had a show for our children that not only sparked their imagination and engaged them, but also built their character and strengthened their worldview while doing so,” said Brave Books CEO Trent Talbot.
The show will star Cameron as “Mr. Kirk,” while veteran puppeteer John Kennedy will be handling “Iggy the Iguana.” Kennedy has more than two decades of experience with programs such as “Sesame Street” and “The Muppets,” the team noted in a press release.
“Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ is the right show at the right time and will be the most important children’s television show since ‘Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood,'” Talbot said.
