According to a bombshell report from Axios, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has handed over 41,000 hours of January 6th footage to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
The announcement comes just hours after I called on McCarthy to release the tapes.

“Carlson TV producers were on Capitol Hill last week to begin digging through the trove, which includes multiple camera angles from all over Capitol grounds,” Axios reported. “Excerpts will begin airing in the coming weeks.”
Axios also noted that Carlson told them there was no reason why remaining January 6 footage should be private.
“[T]here was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret,” Carlson said.
“If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6,” he continued. “By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that.”
