BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls for “National Divorce” In Fiery Twitter Post

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has started off this week with her culture war fists swinging. In fact, she went all in on saying that the differences between red and blue Americans are irreconcilable and can only be solved with a split up of the union. Her Monday morning tweet calls for a “national divorce” Check it out:

MTG isn’t the only one calling for a new relationship between red and blue states. Leftist political commentator Keith Olbermann, for example, recently called for an “economic civil war” between red and blue states, saying:

“We are owned by guns. And therefore there is only one way to stop the mass shootings. It is to suffocate the businesses that make billions of dollars in profits off guns to destroy the gun lobby, the death lobby and the Republican Party that defends those lobbies and those businesses.

“And the only way to do that is an economic Civil War. The blue states have all the money, they must starve the red states into submission or another 600,000 Americans will be murdered in the next 10 to 12 years. That and more on the Wednesday Countdown podcast available now wherever you podcast.

Leftist actress Kathy Griffin also said something similar before the 2022 midterms, saying “If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November. If you do want Civil War, vote Republican.”

This isn’t the first time that MTG has called for a national divorce. She did so in December of 2021 as well. Further, the New York Post reported at the time that “In October, Greene conducted a Twitter survey to gauge people’s interest in a “national divorce” between Republican- and Democratic-leaning states. The unscientific poll found 48 percent of people wanted the US to stay together, while 43 percent called for a political division and 9 percent were undecided. Greene celebrated those who voted to divide the country.”

A poll conducted by the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia found similar results. According to that poll, a whopping 41% of people who voted for Joe Biden and 52% of people who voted for Donald Trump “somewhat agreed” that blue states and red states should form their own countries. In the words of that survey:

“Significant numbers of both Trump and Biden voters show a willingness to consider violating democratic tendencies and norms if needed to serve their priorities. Roughly 2 in 10 Trump and Biden voters strongly agree it would be better if a “President could take needed actions without being constrained by Congress or courts,” and roughly 4 in 10 (41%) of Biden and half (52%) of Trump voters at least somewhat agree that it’s time to split the country, favoring blue/red states seceding from the union.”

So, a Congressional representative is calling for a split up of the union and around half of Americans are on board. Do you agree?
