BREAKING: FBI Arrests Suspect In J6 Pipe Bomb Case After 5 Years
A Virginia man accused of planting pipe bombs just steps from the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 5, 2021, has finally been hauled into federal custody after a nearly five-year manhunt, law enforcement sources told Fox News Digital on Thursday.
The FBI grabbed the suspect during an early morning raid, the sources said, ending a long-running search that became one of the bureau’s most puzzling investigations tied to the chaos surrounding the 2020 election.
Authorities found two pipe bombs near the headquarters of both the Republican National Committee and the Democratic National Committee on the eve of the Capitol riot, around the same time thousands of protesters were converging on the area.

The FBI previously released surveillance footage showing an unidentified figure calmly placing the explosives near the two buildings more than 16 hours before officers discovered them.
The suspect was seen wearing a hoodie, Nike Air Max sneakers, a face mask, glasses, and gloves, but the person’s identity had long been unknown.
Fox News reporter David Spunt shared the latest details on the network this morning, saying the arrest occurred around 8 am.
