BREAKING: Police Release Footage of Louisville, Kentucky Shooting
Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel of the Louisville Metro Police Department stated that the individual responsible for opening fire at his workplace in Louisville was a bank employee who had specifically targeted certain individuals using an AR-15-style rifle.
The rifle had been legally purchased just one week prior by the shooter, identified as 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, from a local dealership on April 4th. Sturgeon had livestreamed the attack on Instagram the following day, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuries to eight others. The chief also announced that the body camera footage of the incident, which had left a rookie officer with a critical head wound, was released to the public on Tuesday.
