BREAKING: Robert F Kennedy Jr’s VP Shortlist Has Been Revealed

Published

on

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering an interesting list of potential candidates for vice president, according to a report from the New York Times.

Among the names being considered by Kennedy is future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers — who is currently under contract with the New York Jets — has remained adamant about continuing his NFL career as he works back from an Achilles injury. While an unlikely candidate, Rodgers and Kennedy align on a number of issues, namely their opposition to COVID-19 lockdown and vaccine measures. Rodgers opted not to take the vaccine and was subsequently attacked by left-wing sports pundits, something that has continued to this day.

As a result, Rodgers has emerged as a leading critic of policies implemented by a number of governments and companies in response to the pandemic. He has also expressed admiration for Kennedy in the past and has hinted that he may vote for him.

Kennedy is also considering former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, who once toyed with the idea of a presidential bid himself. Ventura — who rose to fame through the WWE and a number of high-profile film roles — was elected  under the Reform Party in 1999.

He is currently registered as an independent, though he did endorse the Green Party in 2020. Ventura, 72, has been a vocal critic of both major political parties throughout his career and has endorsed a number of policy points that appeal to both sides of the political spectrum, including gun rights, marijuana legalization and campaign finance reform.

Neither Ventura or Rodgers have received a formal offer, though they are very much on Kennedy’s shortlist, text messages obtained by the New York Times have confirmed. The independent candidate is expected to announce a running mate in the coming weeks as he seeks to gain ballot access in all 50 states.
