UPDATE: Trump ‘Sale’ Of Mar-A-Lago Was An Error On Zillow; Now ‘Corrected’
UPDATE 2:20 P.M. EST: Eric Trump says the supposed “sale” of his father’s Mar-a-Lago club was an error and has now been corrected on Zillow.
Former President Donald J. Trump reportedly ‘sold’ his iconic Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida mere weeks before his arrest in Fulton County, Georgia. The estate, which has been the backdrop for numerous political meetings and events during Trump’s presidency, was supposedly sold for a staggering $422 million, as per Zillow’s records. However, it now appears that the sale did not occur after a tweet from Eric Trump clarified the matter.
SunBiz, a website known for its detailed business records, had reported that the current owner of Mar-a-Lago is now “Mar-a-Lago Inc.” This company is notably owned by Donald Trump Jr.

Newsweek also claimed the sale appeared legit: “While Zillow does not provide details about who bought the property, the website SunBiz said that the current owner of Mar-a-Lago is a company called Mar-a-Lago Inc., owned by the former president’s eldest son.”
Trump purchased Mar-a-Lago in 1985. Over time, he turned it into a private club, with both resort amenities for members and private quarters for his family. He frequently visited Mar-a-Lago and referred to it as the “Winter White House.” The property became a hub for political meetings, official events, and social gatherings during his term.
One of Trump’s indictments details various locations at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida where Trump allegedly stored classified documents, including in a ballroom, a bathroom and shower, an office space, his bedroom, and a storage room.
The investigation began last year when the National Archives alerted the FBI about government documents returned by Trump that were marked classified. Trump and his allies have labeled the indictment as politically motivated, pointing out that he is being treated unfairly compared to Joe Biden.
