BREAKING: Trump Exposes Newsom With Receipts: ‘Here Is The Evidence’
As the state of California continues to file emergency lawsuits aimed at stopping President Trump’s National Guard deployments, the president debunked California Newsom’s latest attacks within a matter of minutes.
While taking questions from reporters in the Oval Office, President Trump was asked when he last spoke with Governor Newsom. “A day ago. Called him up to tell him, gotta do a better job, he’s doing a bad job, causing a lot of death and a lot of potential death,” the president responded.
“If we didn’t send out the National Guard, and last time we gave them a little additional help, you would have, Los Angeles would be burning right now. Los Angeles would be not a lot different than what you saw take place in California and help, you would have, Los Angeles would be burning right now.”
Newsom then took to X in order to claim that he never received a phone call from the commander-in-chief. “There was no call. Not even a voicemail,” he wrote.
“Americans should be alarmed that a President deploying Marines onto our streets doesn’t even know who he’s talking to,” Newsom, who filed on Tuesday an emergency petition aimed at stopping the deployments, added.
Almost immediately after Newsom’s post went live, Trump contacted Fox News host John Roberts from Air Force One to dispute Newsom’s claims.”First call was not picked up. Second call, Gavin picked up, we spoke for 16 minutes. I told him to, essentially, ‘get his ass in gear,’ and stop the Riots, which were out of control,” Trump told Roberts.
“More than anything else, this shows what a liar he is – Said I never called. Here is the evidence.” The president then shared a call log showing one missed call from Newsom, followed by a 16-minute conversation.
Newsom has repeatedly blamed President Trump for the unrest despite the fact that it erupted two days before National Guard units were mobilized, when far-left mobs attacked ICE agents carrying out deportation operations in the city’s fashion district. The mob later surrounded a federal building and proceeded to attack agents with rocks, hammers and clubs.
Similar violence was observed in Paramount, California on Saturday, when rioters tossed large boulders at moving ICE vehicles. Several agents were injured, while the main perpetrator has been added to the FBI’s most wanted list.
“Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your TV tonight. He’s exacerbated the conditions. He’s, you know, lit the proverbial match. He’s putting fuel on this fire ever since he announced he was taking over the National Guard in an illegal act, in an amoral act, an unconstitutional act, and we’re going to test that theory with a lawsuit tomorrow,” the governor ranted on Sunday night.
