On Sunday, the United States closed airspace over parts of Lake Michigan.
The airspace was deemed “national defense airspace.”
“FAA issues a NOTAM NW of Michigan. The airspace has been defined as “National Defense Airspace.”,” Upward News reported.
A United States Air Force tanker is reportedly circling above Lake Michigan.

The news comes after the United States closed airspace above Montana on Saturday evening after there were reports of an unidentified aircraft over the state.
