The U.S. Military has launched a fresh round of strikes targeting the Iranian regime on Wednesday, June 10 after previously firing three waves of strikes on the previous day. Wednesday’s actions come after President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth vowed that strikes would continue following the downing of a U.S. attack helicopter on June 8.

“U.S. Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 5:15 p.m. ET against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction. The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression,” U.S. Central Command announced in a social media post.

Exact details on the number of strikes and specific targets remain limited as of this report, though a number of strikes have been reported in southern Iran, near the Strait of Hormuz. Reportedly targets areas include Bandar Abbas, as well as the villages of Minab and Sirik, all of which are located along the coastline in southern Iran.

Axios correspondent Barak Ravid, citing a senior U.S. defense official, reported that all the targets being attacked “are located in southern Iran and include air defense systems, radars, and drone command and control units.”

Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump told reporters that additional strikes should be expected in the coming hours. “We hit them hard yesterday and we’re going to hit them hard again today in case you miss it, in case you don’t turn on your television set,” the president stated.

“We’re going to be attacking them, attacking them very hard,” he added.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth echoed the president’s comments while speaking with reporters at MacDill Air Force Base. “Centcom, Central Command, will be busy tonight, because President Trump said we will be hitting Iran hard, and we will be,” he said. “If we need to negotiate with bombs, we will negotiate with bombs, and we’re very good at it. Nobody better in the world.”

The latest flare-up of hostilities — which marks the most significant actions since a tentative ceasefire was established in mid-April — began with the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter during a patrol off Oman’s coast. The crew was rescued, and U.S. officials attributed the downing to Iranian action, prompting the initial retaliatory strikes.

On Tuesday, June 9, the U.S. launched three waves of strikes targeting Iranian radar and missile firing positions across the country. Iran retaliated by launching strikes at U.S. Military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.

Iran is expected to launch retaliatory strikes in response to Wednesday’s barrage, though this has not yet happened as of this report.
