British Royal Family Announces Tragic News: ‘The Deepest Sorrow’
Thomas Kingston, the spouse of Lady Gabriella Windsor and former partner of Pippa Middleton, has passed away at the age of 45. He was pronounced dead in Gloucestershire, where emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday. The cause of Kingston’s death has yet to be determined.
Kingston, a financier, and Lady Gabriella, an editor aged 42, were married in 2019. Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, the first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
A message from Lady Gabriella Kingston, alongside Mr. Martin and Mrs. Jill Kingston, Mrs. Joanna Connolly, and Mrs. Emma Murray, expressed: “It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.”
“Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”
Buckingham Palace shared that King Charles and Queen Camilla were notified about Kingston’s passing, stating that the monarchs “join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family.”
“In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family,” the Palace announced.
Kingston and Lady Gabriella Windsor were married on May 18, 2019, in a ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, a venue known for hosting significant royal events, including the weddings of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
Kingston worked in finance and was not a royal himself, but gained media attention through his marriage to the royal family. His professional background included finance and consultancy, with specific involvement in frontier market investment.
