Calls To Boycott Beloved Band EXPLODE After Lead Singer Pulls Disgusting Anti-Trump Move
The lead singer of the popular rock band Green Day is catching quite a bit of much-deserved flack after he held up a rubber head in the likeness of former President Donald Trump, less than a month after he survived an assassination attempt, and tossed it into the crowd during a live performance held on Monday. Billie Joe Armstrong and his band Green Day put on a show at National Parks in Washington, D.C. as part of their latest tour. The faux Trump head was thrown out into the audience while the band played “Jesus of Suburbia.” The head was stamped with the word “Idiot” on its forehead.
A report from Breitbart News stated that the singer gripped the prop by the head in a fashion that made it look as if it had been decapitated, reminiscent of a similar stunt pulled by “comedian” Kathy Griffin a few years ago. The audience seemingly ate up the gesture, breaking out into applause and cheering as Armstrong tossed the head into the audience.

“Armstrongās act comes less than a month after a would-be assassin tried to kill former President Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania. Trump narrowly survived the assassination attempt, with the bullet hitting him in the right ear. Billie Joe Armstrong has long used Green Day concerts to air his left-wing political beliefs. In 2022, he yelled ‘f*** America’ before saying he was ‘renouncing his citizenship’ following the Supreme Courtās decision overturning Roe v. Wade,” the report said. While performing on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Rockin Eve” program on ABC, he referred to Trump supporters as being “rednecks.”
In a recent interview, the punk rocker stated that he believes anyone who is not in favor of children in public schools being indoctrinated by transgender propaganda and the attempted normalization of sexual deviancy, is “f***ing close-minded.” He then added, āItās like people are afraid of their children. Why would you be afraid? Why donāt you let your kid just be the kid that they are?ā Armstrong himself identifies as being bisexual and stated during the interview that singing the lyrics to their song, “Bobby Sox,” which features him singing the line, “Do you wanna be my boyfriend,” is “really liberating.”
āI thought I should flip the script,ā the āBasket Caseā singer went on to tell the Los Angeles Times. āIām kind of playing the character of the woman, but it also felt really liberating to sing, āDo you wanna be my boyfriend?ā It became more of a queer singalong.ā It was later revealed that the political climate in the USA led to Green Day recording their latest LP in London because the singer “needed a break from America.”
