WATCH: Chiefs Superstar Chris Jones Cries During National Anthem At Super Bowl LVIII
Chris Jones, a multi-time All Pro defensive tackle with the Kansas City Chiefs, became one of the top trends on X Sunday when he appeared to tear up during Reba McEntire’s rendition of the national anthem at Super Bowl LVIII.
The broadcast of McEntire’s anthem received largely rave reviews on social media despite some slight audio issues. It repeatedly cut between McEntire and troops deployed overseas in South Korea, as well as the Las Vegas dome, which was decorated with the American flag.
The broadcast also cut to a number of players, including 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Jones stole the show, however, as the national anthem appeared to make him emotional.

Jones will be hoping to win his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs in what may be his last game with the franchise if the two camps are unable to agree on a new contract. He has played his entire career with Kansas City since being drafted in the second round in 2016.
In addition to two Super Bowl rings, Jones has been to the Pro Bowl five times, including two first team All-Pro selections.
