Well, it certainly seems like at least a couple of the folks who work for CNN have somewhat gone along with the new direction of the network, opting to scooch more to the center left than remaining squarely in the extreme progressive side of the political bias spectrum. Doing so, however, may come with a hefty price for the personalities who still remain employed with the outlet. Like anchor Brianna Keilar and national affairs correspondent Jeff Zeleny for example.
According to TheBlaze, both of these CNN employees criticized President Joe Biden for using a very militaristic background while delivering a very strong anti-Republican speech, which is not something that settled well with Democrats who were thrilled to death to see Biden going after former President Donald Trump and his supporters.
” Biden addressed the nation with U.S. Marines standing behind him in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and issued a scathing rebuke of the Republican party and those Republicans who support President Donald Trump,” the report stated. ” Keilar and Zeleny both decried the use of the military for a political speech.”
“There’s nothing unusual or wrong with a President delivering a political speech — it’s inherent in the job description — but doing it against a backdrop of two Marines standing at attention and the Marine Band is a break with White House traditions,” Zeleny posted in a tweet with a photograph from Biden’s speech.

Keilar then came out and shared a very similar view of the aesthetic of the speech.
“Whatever you think of this speech the military is supposed to be apolitical. Positioning Marines in uniform behind President Biden for a political speech flies in the face of that,” Keilar said in a post on Twitter.

“It’s wrong when Democrats do it. It’s wrong when Republicans do it,” she said in the conclusion to her post.
And, of course, this position on the matter did not go over well with quite a few on the left who had harsh things to say about the position taken by Zeleny and Keilar for not being fans of the political theater put on by Biden during his speech. Because we all know it was just for show. Our president lacks a backbone, as does the majority of his administration. It’s posturing.
“This dummy Brianna Keilar. They watched as their daddy trump did every illegal tactic while in White House but now these bags of clipped toenails have issue with decorum and history. F @CNN and their maga ceo,” stated a user in one tweet on the subject.
“CNN’s pundits have literally been posting the exact same s*** tonight. Brianna Keilar and Jeff Zeleny are f***ing pathetic. They want you to believe that a president shouldn’t call out fascism, well those two push it. Lol,” another critic exploded on the social media platform.
“Disgraceful, and anyone that stays at CNN and plays a part in helping fascists, should be ashamed.” said another user who was angry at the two CNN personalities.
“I’m not just going to unfollow you, I’m going to block you and the rest of CNN since it has been taken over by fascists,” read another post critical of the responses to the speech. The irony is lost on these people. Here they are slamming CNN hosts for not backing the Hitler-like atmosphere, while calling said individuals, freely expressing their opinion, fascist. Tell me you don’t know what this word means without telling me you don’t know what this word means.
Keilar then responded to her critics with a second post that said, “It’s possible to agree with everything Biden said and still disagree with using Marines as backdrops for a political speech.”
