WATCH: CNN Reporter Smacks Down Kamala’s New ‘Moderate’ Persona In Brutal Exposé
Mainstream media reporters aren’t letting Vice President Kamala Harris off the hook now that she’s shifting toward the center and effectively brushing under the rug any hint of her far-left positions from five years ago.
Harris in 2019 ran for president on an ultra-progressive platform that included paying for federal inmate gender transition surgeries and decriminalizing all drugs, including heroin and cocaine. Today, she speaks very differently, promising to “go further” than President Joe Biden on securing the border, as she did at one recent rally, and warning potential home invaders that they will be “shot” with her gun. None of that sat well with CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski, who cited her cheerleading for the oil industry after previously promising to throw industry executives in jail.

“This really shows just how sort of far-left Kamala Harris got in that 2019 Democratic primary when she was running with Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. She was making this extremely bold promise that she was going to take the U.S. oil industry and possibly criminally prosecute them for their role in climate change. She compared it to Big Tobacco saying they knew the effects of climate change, but they hid it from the public,” said the K-FILE investigative reporter. “Fast forward to 2024, what are her and Tim Walz doing? They are touting the record domestic oil production from those same oil companies during the Biden-Harris administration.”
As an example of how obviously transparent Harris’s shift has been, Kaczynski referenced a 2019 comment in which Harris, answering a question at a town hall, told one supporter she would order the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate executives at Chevron, Shell, and other fossil fuel companies and “charge them” with crimes so they “pay the price.” Nor is Big Oil the only energy talking point where Vice President Harris has shifted so blatantly in her second bid for president.
“This is a theme for her,” said Kaczynski, who cited past promises by Harris to ban plastic straws, ban fracking, and end the U.S. Senate’s filibuster to pass the Green New Deal. Today, as Harris and Walz crisscross Pennsylvania, they promise to do all they can to protect fracking, a key industry employing thousands of residents. Her support for the Green New Deal is likewise nowhere to be found on her current website.

Kaczynski last month called out Harris for flip-flopping on her support for the Trump border wall. He pointed out how Harris, who once vehemently opposed the border wall, is now promoting it as part of her tough-on-border policies in a new ad. “Harris called Trump’s border wall ‘a monument standing in opposition to not just everything I value, but to the fundamental values upon which this country was built’ in 2019. Now, she’s using Trump’s wall in an ad to say she’s tough on the border,” Kaczynski wrote on X.
Later, the reporter joined CNN anchor Erin Burnett to draw sharp contrasts between the Harris of then and now. “In 2019, [Harris] said she would cut funding to ICE,” Erin Burnett said. “Taxpayer funded transition surgery for detained migrants? She actually said she supported that?!” she asked Kaczynski incredulously. “You would be hard to think you would come up with taxpayer-funding gender transitions for detained migrants.” On X, the Trump campaign piled one, writing, “Comrade Kamala’s record is so extreme, even Erin Burnett couldn’t believe it” and sharing a clip of her stunned face.
