The Vice President, Kamala Harris, seems to assume that the U.S-Mexico border is secure, but she did not do a good job convincing news anchor Chuck Todd this time.
On the previous Sunday morning broadcast of “Meet the Press”, Harris gave an interview with Todd where she claimed that the US-Mexico border was secure though she agreed that Biden’s immigration policies are a complete disaster.
The vice president believes that the border stands strong for reasons best known to her. Kamala Harris makes this claim even though millions of aliens have invaded the border this year, the highest number ever recorded in American history.

As Sunday’s interview episode was approaching its end, the News anchor touched on the infamous border concerns and asked the Vice president if she truly thinks the border is safe.
Harris replied, “I think that there is no question that we have to do what the president and I asked Congress to do. The first request we made, pass a bill to create a pathway to citizenship.”

She further asserted. “The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.”
Todd did not seem very convinced with the Vice president’s answer and asked her what gives her the confidence to assure the world that the border is safe even when America is going to witness “2 million people cross this border for the first time ever.”
However, the United States vice president remained insistent as she said that the Biden administration has created a secure border and treats it as a priority.
The Trump administration witnessed almost no immigration or border control crisis, thanks to the former president’s excellent policy-making skills. Yet, Kamala Harris tried to blame the situation on Trump as always, adding that the Biden administration still has a lot to fix concerning the border “given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.”
Harris said, “We also have to put in place a law and a plan for a pathway for citizenship for the millions of people who are here and are prepared to do what is legally required to gain citizenship.
She added, “We don’t have that in place because people are playing politics in a state like this [Texas] and in Congress — by the way, you want to talk about bipartisanship, on an issue that at one time was a bipartisan issue. Both in terms of Republican senators and even presidents.”
The Biden administration reversed all of Trump’s working policies that protected the nation from illegal immigrants during his time as the president. It is only typical of Joe and his lapdogs to always try to blame everything on the former president as though he was manipulated into creating his ridiculous policies.
