‘Coming Soon’: Gaetz Hints At Releasing Major Revelations Of ‘Corruption’ And ‘Treason’ In DC
Former Congressman Matt Gaetz is hinting at something big. In a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter), the Florida Republican teased forthcoming revelations, claiming they’ll expose rampant “corruption, treason, and betrayal” in Washington, D.C.
The post came in response to a report from Quiver Quantitative, which highlighted a suspicious stock trade by a U.S. Congressman involving Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) earlier this year.
“Stock trading is such a huge part of Congress. It shouldn’t be. I can’t wait to tell all these stories of corruption, treason and betrayal. Coming soon,” Gaetz wrote on X (formerly Twitter), amplifying the growing concerns about financial ethics on Capitol Hill.
Quiver Quantitative’s report detailed an unusual stock purchase of FICO shares by an unnamed congressman in May. Since that transaction, the stock has soared by 108%. Gaetz’s response to the post suggests that he may have insider knowledge of similar practices.

The issue of stock trading among lawmakers has been a sore point for years. Despite the passage of the STOCK Act to address such concerns, enforcement has been criticized as lax. Reports of lawmakers leveraging privileged information for personal gain have only deepened public distrust in the institution.
Gaetz’s comments arrive at a pivotal moment. Earlier this month, he was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as Attorney General. However, amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of misconduct, Gaetz resigned from Congress, ending a House Ethics Committee probe into his behavior. Days later, he withdrew from the attorney general nomination, citing concerns that his candidacy was becoming a distraction to the Trump administration.
Now untethered from public office, Gaetz appears poised to pivot toward the role of whistleblower—or provocateur.
“I’m still going to be in the fight, but it’s going to be from a new perch. I do not intend to join the 119th Congress,” Gaetz told Charlie Kirk in an interview on Friday. “There are a number of fantastic Floridians who’ve stepped up to run for my seat, people who have inspired with their heroism, with their public service. And I’m actually excited to see Northwest Florida go to new heights and have great representation,” he continued.
Gaetz sat down with Kirk for his first interview since withdrawing from the Attorney General race, discussing his decision to step aside and his views on his replacement, Pam Bondi. Gaetz said, “I’m going to be fighting for President Trump. I’m going to be doing whatever he asks of me, as I always have. But I think that eight years is probably enough time in the United States Congress.”
“I am so excited about where this transition stands, and I know there are people disappointed that I won’t be the next attorney general, but you have to understand this is the political process, and sometimes the path you’re on is one that takes you to a different place, and it could be a glorious place.” Gaetz said on the pick, “My good friend Pam Bondi is going to be a phenomenal attorney general for Donald Trump. She has the legal acumen. She hates criminals. She is a bright legal mind and a fellow Floridian.”
