Country Star Cancels Remaining Tour Dates, Speaks On Mental Health Struggles
Country star Colter Wall has canceled the remaining dates of his 2026 tour and announced an indefinite hiatus from live performances. Wall disclosed that his decision comes amid struggles with mental health.
The 2026 Memories and Empties Tour began in January, with Wall completing nearly 20 dates despite earlier interruptions.
Shows in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 23 and 24 were canceled due to a winter storm. In addition, Wall had postponed performances in February and March 2025 for personal reasons tied to his mental and physical health. More recently, he abruptly canceled a concert in Evansville, Indiana, shortly before it was set to begin.
In an Instagram statement on Wednesday, Wall explained that the remaining shows on his tour would be cancelled in order to focus on his mental health. “The truth is that I am mentally unwell. Despite this, I have pushed myself to continue with touring. As a result my mental health has only further declined,” the Saskatchewan, Canada native wrote.
“After discussions with my team, we have decided to cancel the remaining shows and take an indefinite hiatus from live music,” Wall continued.

The affected dates included performances in Indianapolis on March 11 and 12, Cincinnati on March 13, and Detroit on March 14. Ticket holders are to receive automatic refunds through their original point of purchase.
The announcement received widespread support from fans. On Instagram, one fan commented, “although a lot of people are sad, this was the best thing he could’ve done; his mental health is more important.”
Another wrote, “Good job Colter for taking time for yourself. Mental health is just as important as physical health.” The comments on his post were overwhelmingly positive, with fans offering similar well wishes and support.
Wall, who began playing guitar at 13 and blends traditional country, rock and folk influences, released his first independent EP in 2015. He has since released four studio albums, with the most recent being “Memories And Empties,” the subject of the now cancelled tour.
Wall has long been viewed as one of the rising stars in the country music scene. His music has been featured on the hit television series “Yellowstone,” as well as show runner Taylor Sheridan’s critically-acclaimed film “Hell Or High Water.”
