Country Star Wynonna Judd’s Daughter Arrested After Shocking Public Incident
Another story has unfolded seemingly straight out of a daytime drama in the world of fame and family. Grace Kelley, daughter of country singer Wynonna Judd, is in custody at Elmore County Jail, facing charges of indecent exposure and obstructing governmental operations, the sheriff’s office reported.
Arrested on April 5 with bond set at $1,000, Kelley allegedly exposed herself at a busy intersection and resisted police commands. Court documents revealed the incident occurred at I-65 and Highway 14, where Kelley reportedly sat on the roadside edge after exposing her breasts and lower body.
The 27-year-old, whose last known address was in Eufaula, has a history of legal issues including a 2017 arrest in Tennessee for methamphetamine-related charges and early departure from a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program, according to WSMV4.
Kelley, a mother of one with a history of legal issues related to drug charges and probation violations, appeared in her mugshot with a swollen and bruised right eye. The cause of the injuries remains unclear.
She has been detained since her arrest, unable to post the $1,000 bail set for her release as of Tuesday according to PageSix.
WATCH:
Kelley’s legal issues began in 2015 with her arrest for several methamphetamine-related crimes, including manufacturing, delivering, selling, and possessing with intent to distribute. Her legal troubles escalated after she violated probation by exiting a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program, leading to an eight-year prison sentence.
However, Kelley received parole periods, during which she faced strict conditions like undergoing drug treatment and regular drug tests.
Repeatedly violating her parole and probation terms, Kelley encountered additional arrests and sentences. Despite her ongoing battle with drug addiction, she was paroled under conditions designed to help her recover. Kelley’s non-compliance with these terms led to more legal problems. While incarcerated, Kelley, pregnant, was allowed temporary release to give birth to her daughter, Kaliyah Chanel. Kelley’s latest release from prison was set for October 2023.
This arrest marks yet another encounter with law enforcement for her. Her court date is set for April 11.
