Country Star Zac Brown Granted Restraining Order Against Ex-Wife
Zac Brown, the frontman of the Zac Brown Band, has been granted a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi. The legal move follows Brown’s lawsuit filed against Yazdi, accusing her of violating a confidentiality agreement through her social media posts.
The court action took place in Georgia, where Brown requested “an emergency temporary restraining order, injunctive relief, and damages arising out of several past and threatened violations,” as confirmed by Fox News Digital. The heart of the issue lies in an Instagram post by Yazdi, which Brown alleged not only breached their confidentiality agreement but also tarnished his reputation.

Entertainment Tonight reported that the restraining order mandates Yazdi to remove the contentious Instagram post. Additionally, it seeks to prevent her from “making any defamatory, false, untrue, or otherwise damaging statements” about Brown, his family, and his band members.
The legal drama follows the couple’s announcement of their separation in December, after only four months of marriage. They had expressed a wish for privacy and mutual respect as they navigated their divorce process. The pair had a whirlwind romance, marrying in August in Georgia and celebrating their union at a unique wedding held at a bowling alley.
Yazdi, a multifaceted personality in her own right, is a SAG-AFTRA actress, stuntwoman, and model. She is also the founder of Ride Wild, a platform dedicated to female powersport enthusiasts. Her film and television credits include roles in “Hawaii Five-O” and “The Beautiful Ones.”
Over the weekend, she wrote in an Instagram post, “No one — not even Zac Brown with all of his money, power, celebrity, and lawyers – may silence my right to freely express myself through art or, although I have to date declined to do so publicly, to speak about the circumstances of our pending divorce.”
“It is beyond ironic that Zac’s first act after filing an unnecessary public divorce lawsuit was to release a music video that deliberately mocked our wedding party from only a few months before — including a false and defamatory caricature obviously intended to be me and hurt me – followed by a second unnecessary and legally meritless public lawsuit and press release, yet he now claims his “only hope” is that we show each other “mutual respect” by keeping “private matters private” as we negotiate the terms of our divorce,” Yazdi continued.

“Like Zac, I have lawyers too, and I will tell my truth in court — where he has unnecessarily dragged me.”
Before this, Brown had a 12-year marriage with Shelly Brown, with whom he shares five children. On the professional front, Brown continues to thrive as a leading figure in country music. His band, a three-time Grammy Award winner, boasts a series of platinum-certified albums and hits like “Chicken Fried.”
