Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino set the internet on fire Saturday with an ominous social media post in which he said he will “never be the same” due to the things he has uncovered or seen during his time with the bureau.

“During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening,” the deputy director posted on X.

Bongino went on to state that he and Director Patel are committed to “stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations,” calling it a top priority. The next portion of his statement is what generated speculation, as Bongino revealed that the depth of corruption has shaken him to his core.

“But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned,” the post continued. “We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE. As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not ‘my truth’  or ‘your truth,’ but THE TRUTH.”

Bongino then signed the post with, “God bless America, and all those who defend Her.”

The ominous post comes as the bureau ramps up investigations into senior figures from the Obama Administration, including former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey, over their alleged wrongdoing in crafting the Russian collusion conspiracy. The hoax was used to launch the Mueller investigation, which bogged down the Trump Administration in litigation and largely hampered the president’s first term.

Recently declassified documents relating to the case have confirmed that senior intelligence officials knew Russia did not have any material effect on the election when they signed off on the bogus investigation, which was used to hamstring President Trump’s first term. Both Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan said the opposite when testifying before Congress.

National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, who signed off on the memo confirming that senior intelligence officials told their superiors that Russia did not affect the 2016 election, therefore making the investigation baseless, has described the conduct of former President Obama and his underlings as a “coup attempt.”

“This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is an issue that is so serious it should concern every single American because it has to do with the integrity of our democratic republic. What we saw occur here as the documents we released detailed was that we had a sitting President of the United States and his cabinet and leadership team, quite frankly, who were not happy with the fact that President Trump had won the election, that the American people had chosen Donald J. Trump to be the next President, Commander-in-Chief of the United States,” Gabbard said during a recent interview with Fox News.

So the effect of what President Obama and his senior national security team did was subvert the will of the American people, undermining our democratic republic, and enacting what would be essentially a years-long coup against President Trump, who was duly elected by the American people.”

On Thursday, the Justice Department established a “strike force” to investigate whether enough evidence exists to charge former President Barack Obama over his alleged role in the scheme. Together, prosecutors and U.S. intelligence investigators will work to identify “the worst offenders” who “engaged in fraudulent activities, including, chiefly, health care fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, money laundering offenses, false statements offenses,” and more, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced in a press release.

The FBI has also launched a separate investigation into Comey and Brennan. While details of the investigation remain scarce, insiders told Fox News that it largely centers on false statements to Congress in reference to the Russian collusion hoax, as well as the possibility of a wider “conspiracy.”
