Democrat Mayor Melts Down, Lashes Out At Reporter For Using ‘Illegal Alien’ Term
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) went off the rails after a reporter on Friday dared to use the phrase “illegal aliens” during a press event, shredding the term as “racist” and “nasty.”
In a video of the incident, a reporter asked the mayor about a filing concerning the amount the city spends on funding “illegal aliens” in Chicago that the city was required to submit to the Trump administration.
Johnson immediately lost his cool and offered pushback on the language.
“We don’t have illegal aliens,” Johnson told the reporter. “I don’t know if that’s from some sort of sci-fi message that you wish… Well, listen, the legal term for my people were slaves. You want me to use that term, too? So, look, let’s just get the language right. We’re talking about undocumented individuals that are human beings.”
Mayor Brandon Johnson has a total meltdown when a reporter refers to illegals as “illegal immigrants.” Johnson insists they are called “undocumented individuals.”
He even bizarrely brings up slavery, of course. He also ignores that the US Government currently uses the term… pic.twitter.com/8RbmR1updf

He then went on to say that he wouldn’t “accept that type of racist, nasty language to describe human beings.”
The hard-left mayor then shifted the conversation to his administration’s spending priorities. He bragged about the $16.7 billion budget his administration is working on, which he claims invests substantial funding in education, transportation, housing, environmental justice, youth employment, and community safety.
“And we are going to challenge the ultra-wealthy to pay their fair share,” Johnson continued, according to Fox News.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) jumped into offer support for Johnson’s comments, attempting to make the case that immigration violations are not criminal offenses, despite federal law saying the exact opposite.
“It is very important that people in Illinois and across the country understand the immigration system is a civil system,” Jayapal explained. “Undocumented presence in the United States is not a criminal offense. And so thank you for the clarification on language.”
Johnson has repeatedly defended his city’s immigration policies and has heavily criticized President Donald Trump’s strategy for tackling crime and enforcing border laws.
In September, Johnson held a news conference in which he launched a fiery assault on the president’s crackdown on crime.
“Jails and incarceration and law enforcement is a sickness that has not led to safe communities,” Johnson stated during the event.
However, just a week ago, three illegal aliens, along with six U.S. citizens, were taken into custody in Chicago during what Homeland Security referred to as one of the most violent days of Operation Midway Blitz.
The operation was launched in September in response to the drunk driving hit-and-run of Katie Abraham, who was killed by Julio Cucul-Bol, an illegal from Guatemala. DHS said the goal for the operation was to “target illegal aliens terrorizing Americans in sanctuary Illinois.”
